    I’m Kathryn Akers, an Honors student at the Texas State McCoy College of Business majoring in Marketing and minoring in Journalism. My expected graduation date is May 2028, and I am located in Austin, Texas.

    I am currently employed as a Lifeguard Supervisor at Brushy Creek Municipal District where I oversee day-to-day pool operations, manage a team of three to ten lifeguards, and upkeep pool maintence. I am also employed as a Music Journalist at KTSW 89.9, Texas State’s on-campus radio station. At KTSW 89.9, I write articles for the radio station’s blog and review music and help determine if it should be played on air.

    Additionally, I pursue personal creative endeavors. I am currently working on filling out my photography portfolio and drafting a fictional novel that I hope to have published by 2030.

    I aspire to combine my passions for music, writing & marketing to create something unique within the music industry.
